I got an email from Pop Startled about the Sweet Spot cards. They were mailed out on Tuesday. When I checked the tracking numbers, it showed they were accepted on May 26 but left the Portland facility yesterday May 29th. Not sure what the hold up was. I sent them all first class mail “3 day” for those of you on the east coast. If you do not receive them by Tuesday please let me know. I know that FreeAndyLaroche’s was delivered this week but he is just down the freeway from me.

I almost forgot, the Hamiltonians cards went out yesterday because she is from canadia and they force me to actually go into the post office to mail the stuff.

The Prime Cuts Box for the break is on its way, the Heritage will be ordered on Monday. Five teams left.

Oh yeah, I picked up 2 boxes of 2009 Football Icons for myself.

There are still 8 teams available. I know that bluejaycards wants the blue jays but hasn’t paid. I am opening this up so anyone that wants more than 1 team can now buy extra teams. For the first month I will pick up the teams that aren’t purchased. The break will occur on June 5th or 6th. If anyone wants a team but can’t pay till the first let me know.

The product will be a high end midrange mix every month. I want everyone to end up with cards. Whoever gets in the first month will have a reserved spot for next month. New people can jump in to open teams only if the previous month person passes. If I am unable to sell all the teams, I will spread the cost amongst all participants and will randomly give the left over cards away. If you have any questions about this please ask before joining.

Rule: The team not the city rules on retired players. For example: If Hank Aaron is pictured in a Mil. Braves uniform he goes to the Braves. Boston Braves go to the Atlanta Braves as well. I know I ran the survey on what I should bust next but I got some good prices on some 2009 elite, heroes and magic football. You will see at least 3 boxes of magic, 7 heroes and 2 elite in the next month or whenever they are released.

SCU does a monthly football break but no one does baseball. Here is how it would work: $15 a team. Mid to high product. Spa, spx, finest, threads, etc. You would probably see combos like 1 box prime cuts two boxes Allen and ginter etc.

Now for the options.
Option 1: random team assigned every month.
But because we have so many team collectors.
Option 2: permanent teams. Assigned first come first serve basis. I think this would work because even the nationals and brewers have fans.

I have said it before, but 1975 Topps mini’s are not rare, nor are any other regular issue cards from the past 50 years.

The auctions ended up at what $700 a box? That’s just stupid. No one loves old Topps as much as I do, but the stuff isn’t rare. When the Boomer generation, god forbid, passes away. Cases of 70′s, possibly 60′s Topps are going to come out in droves. Singles will be everywhere.
